The UNDERCURRENT SERIES is a series of smaller paintings which were inspired by and have the name of a song by British indie band Maximo Park. 
The bright colours in these paintings were deliberately „pushed“ into the background by layers of white glazing  and cold wax. 
The idea behind it was to remind us that although some of our hopes and dreams sometimes seem almost unthinkable it’s always worth leaving some space in you for them to become reality.
